IWC Ingenieur Automatic
IWC Ingenieur Jumbo IW1832 Gérald Genta, watch designer, who has worked during his career for several important brands in the sector, in the 70s I find inspiration for a new watch model by observing the helmet of a diver. Thanks to the observation of this particular element, the designer managed to create a watch that revolutionized the world of watch design at the time. In fact, while the other watchmaking houses tended to hide the screws and holes that were used to close the watch cases, with the models designed for the IWC Schaffhausen, Gérald Genta, decided to show them and make them become an integral part of the style of the bezel. The first reference that was marketed and that I carry on the lips of all this new design, was the 1832 with the name of Ingenieur SL. This watch brought to the market in 1976, is presented immediately with highly masculine aesthetic traits. In fact, the watch since its first reference was able to combine elegantly: robustness, technique and sportiness. We can agree, that even today these are the details that distinguish the IWC Ingenieur line.
